Meditation
All of humanities problems stem from mans inability to sit quietly in a room alone.” Blaise Pascal

For true and lasting healing to emerge we must come in touch with and indeed become comfortable with, our neurotic mind. Patients have said to me numerous times “my mind is driving me crazy” but it is our habitual and endless quest for the perfect and everlasting state that is really driving us crazy. Meditation practice is about learning to be with ourselves without agenda or judgment. Initially, sitting still following our breath can be extremely uncomfortable, annoying and boring. But as we persist with the practice and follow the instructions we become more comfortable with ourselves. The ramifications of this seemingly simple revelation are huge and point the way to the roots of all disharmony; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
